Follow-up Greece

We left Cape Sounion unfortunately, since it was just so nice. Off to Athens we went with target a few stops to try, images, and then the cost of Athens and transport. Our last day in Greece we went to some last-minute shopping a bit again, and decided to return to the same restaurant where we had the most beautiful lamb Court at the beginning of the journey. It was "Lamb in paper", the leg (I think) of lamb or may cut was? with potatoes, some onions and peppers (I think they were the light of green cauliflower peppers) and feta cheese all wrapped in greaseproof paper and baked. The lamb is so tender you don't really need a knife, and everything is so well seasoned. A plate of olives was indeed necessary and a carafe of house wine. But this was the last day in Greece and I had still not very specifically for Greece tried a Greek wine,: retsina! The problem is it served in the glass, you had to buy at least half a bottle. Well, I had some have.

Retsina is a white

Wine that is flavoured with pine resin. This traditional wine goes back in the old Greece in the wine in amphorae was transported the large ceramic containers with top soil and handles were up. They were with resin from a pine tree and the wine that taste add had this result, of course. Use amphora now in wine course so that the resin is added to the barrels.

The taste was not bad - I stronger flavored are expected, but it was actually something subtle. Of course, I tried just one type.
Our waiter was enthusiastic and friendly, and as I have tried he brought Greek traditional drinks from ouzo. I don't think I need, to learn more about this evening say unless I "" was feeling no pain, as they say. Up in the morning. But you can no longer be the in. (well, it wasn't really the bad.., really...).

The image is a ruin in the Centre of Athens and I saw the plaque to describe it.
I hope that the other is image map as blue, and clear the water on the coast was.

And that was good-bye, Greece. Visit a great, easy stress with driving but the pages were spectacular. The next time maybe these islands....

Part of the journey: Europe!
